Spanish Floods Result In Fruit And Vegetable Supply Shortage

The catastrophic floods in Valencia Spain have caused substantial property damage and many lives have been lost. Moreover, it will most likely threaten the fruits and vegetables supply in Spain and across the continent, in the UK specifically.
Due to this past year’s drought, which left the faemlands too dry to properly absorb the immense amounts of rain during the floods, many of the farms are expected to lose thousands of hectares of crops including citrus, persimmons, vegetables, and vines. While the full extant of the destruction is still unknown, the floods can have long terms effects for the years to come on Spanish agriculture, food supply and livelihood in Spain and in all of Europe.
