Telecom Institutions Lead Development of AI-Based 6G with NVIDIA

More than 200 telecom organizations in over 30 European countries are using NVIDIA technologies to develop the next generation of 6G cellular networks built with artificial intelligence.

It brings with it groundbreaking collaborations across Europe. Britain is investing in AI-native wireless research at leading universities, Finland developed a real-time network digital twin, Germany is researching neuromorphic wireless cognition for robotic control, and Switzerland is developing new architecture to improve base station performance using machine learning.

Europe, which developed the GSM standard in 1987, continues to lead in telecom innovation with more than 2,000 researchers in 85 countries who joined NVIDIA’s 6G developer program, which led to over 190,000 downloads of research tools and over 350 citations in scientific papers.

NVIDIA’s research program provides a revolutionary three-computer solution for developing, simulating and implementing AI algorithms in wireless networks – which could completely transform how we experience digital connectivity in the future.

In our country, over 25 Israeli companies are currently operating in 5G technology development, from giants like Intel to small startups. Chip companies have invested billions of dollars in manufacturing and design facilities in Israel over the past decade, and they have continued this trend over the last six months as well. The Israeli investments and developments position the country as a significant player in the 6G revolution, particularly in the areas of advanced algorithms, security solutions, and innovative AI applications in communication networks.
